PE and Sports Premium

The purpose of P.E. and Sport Premium funding is to enable us to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of P.E. and sports that we offer our pupils. Schools are able to use the funding to develop P.E. across the school or to make improvements that will benefit children joining the school in the future.  Suggested uses of funding are:

  • Employ qualified sports coaches to work with teachers.

  • Provide existing staff with training or resources to help them teach PE and sport more effectively.

  • Introduce new sports or activities, and encourage more pupils to take up sport.

  • Support and involve the least active children by running or extending school sports clubs.

Schools are required to publish details of how they spend their PE and Sport funding. From 2025, all primary schools need to complete a digital expenditure reporting return. The return outlines:

  • how the school has used its  PE and Sports Premium
  • the impact the premium has had on achieving the aims and objectives of the funding

You can find a copies of our digital return  for 2024 to 2025 below.
