We follow the Surrey syllabus for RE. The whole curriculum is broadly Christian based. Parents have a right to withdraw their child from all or part of the religious education or collective worship provided by the school and should discuss this with the Head teacher if they wish to take this course of action.
In Key Stage One children learn about Christianity, Judaism and Islam. They also consider the question – ‘What is God like?’ and have the opportunity to ask their own ‘big questions’. Children have visited local churches and a synagogue.
During R.E. sessions we promote British Values by encouraging the children to show respect and tolerance towards different faiths.
