The children learn about their own history and history beyond living memory. Children also learn about significant events such as the Great Fire of London and The Titanic. During Key Stage One children learn about significant people from the past and inventions that have changed society. Role play and drama are key features of the History curriculum. Pupils are taught the skills to use a range of historical sources such as documents, photographs, the internet and artefacts. They identify and discuss differences and similarities between life now and in the past.
