Children use their creativity and imagination to design and make products that solve problems. When working individually, or as part of a group they are encouraged to think about what products are used for and the needs of the people who use them. Following the planning phase, children are taught to select appropriate tools and techniques to make their products and then evaluate them.
As part of their learning children are also taught about food and nutrition. This includes exploring healthy choices, tasting, finding out where food comes from, as well as preparing and cooking by following recipes.
