Computing is an important part of the curriculum for all children and is used to support learning in many subjects. Children are taught to develop efficient computing skills to enable them to meet the demands of an increasingly technological world. All classes are regularly timetabled to use the ICT room. To ensure all areas of the computing curriculum are taught and enriched we also provide opportunities for the children to use programmable toys, listening stations and headphones (Easi-Ears) and digital cameras.
A key part of the computing curriculum is to teach the children to be safe when using the internet.
Computing is a powerful teaching tool and each classroom has an interactive whiteboard so that the internet and appropriate software can be used effectively to support and enhance the children's learning across the curriculum.
